Changes to Genesis 1:20-24, KJV

Memorized verses in italics first, then the altered verse found in print and online versions in regular font. The known changes and original wording are pointed out in red. The changes I see, but can only speculate on the original wording, are in blue.

Genesis 1:20 - And God said, Let the waters teem with swarms of living creatures, and let winged fowl fly above the earth in the expanse below the firmament.

"And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and _____ fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven."

Verse 20 has been butchered. Notice how the wording makes it sound like both fish and birds came from water like evolution claims, by the rewording of "teem" with "bring forth abundantly", and the removal of the word "let"! That's another telling clue--Evolutionists would be all over this verse if it had always said this. I looked up the word "teem", which I clearly remember in the KJV, and found it in the NIV version. The NIV version never said "teem". I found "Swarms" in several other translations, and it is very familiar. I'm pretty certain "expanse" was a part of this verse with "firmament", though I can't remember if the original preposition was "below" or "beneath".

Genesis 1:21 - And God created the great sea creatures and every living creature with which the waters teemed, each according to its kind, and every winged fowl of the air according to its kind: and God saw that it was good.

"And God created great whales and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

The NIV translation of 21 is similar to what I remember being the KJV translation of this verse. I suspect, however these changes are occurring, some of the KJV wording--such as "teem"--is being deliberately placed in the NIV version to trip up our memories and discredit them. 'Winged fowl" in verse 21 confirms my memory of it also being in verse 20. Notice how "whales" is an attack on the Adam's God-given task of naming the animals. "Moveth" and "which the waters brought forth abundantly" again, deliberately colors the creation story with the idea of evolution.

Genesis 1:22 - And God blessed them, saying, "Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let the fowl of the air multiply and fill the expanse above the earth."

"And God blessed them saying, Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth."

I can't help but wonder why the addressee regarding the waters is unspecific? I can't tell if anything is missing. I remember "fowl of the air", but I'm not certain it was in this particular verse--"let fowl multiply" is unfamiliar, and "winged fowl" doesn't seem correct either. Not certain "and fill the expanse above" belongs, but simply "multiply in the earth" doesn't fit my memory.

Genesis 1:24 - And God said, Let the earth bring forth every kind of creature that moveth upon the ground, each according to their own kind, creatures that creepeth, and the wild beasts of the earth, each according to their own kind: and it was so.

"And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so."
